You do not need to be an expert or speak for an entire community. If you have lived it, noticed it, questioned it, or understand a piece of it firsthand, your perspective can add something the larger conversation may be missing.

How your perspective moves
Find an Open Brief
Choose a question where your experience, point of view, or proximity to the issue can add something useful.
Add what you know
Share what you have lived, noticed, questioned, disagreed with, or think deserves more context. You do not need the perfect answer.
Editors build the larger picture
Contributions are reviewed for perspectives that add context, tension, connection, or understanding. Not every contribution is selected for the published story.
Follow what it became
If the brief becomes a published story, contributors can return to Your Perspectives and the Perspective Trail to see what happened next.
What makes a strong contribution
The best contributions are specific, honest, and grounded in what you actually know. They do not need to sound polished or complete. Sometimes one detail, disagreement, question, or lived experience can change how an issue is understood.
A good place to start might be:
- Something people often misunderstand
- A detail the larger conversation keeps missing
- A consequence people may not see from the outside
- Something you are still questioning or trying to make sense of
Consent and attribution
Your perspective stays connected to the person who shared it.
Contributions are handled with consent and editorial care. Nothing you submit is published automatically. If your perspective is selected to help shape a story, it may appear as a paraphrased perspective attributed with your first name, last initial, and the context you chose to provide. Community POV does not support anonymous or alias attribution.
Community Identifiers are optional and private. They can help surface Open Briefs where your perspective may be especially relevant, but they are not shown as public attribution.
Community POV does not sell raw member identity data or give businesses direct access to individual member profiles or contributions.
